It was a career night for Cole Dickerson, whose 30 points and 10 rebounds propelled the USF Dons past the Dominican Cal Penguins 93-76.
De’End Parker scored 20 points, and Mark Tollefsen chipped in 19 off the bench in the victory.
The Dons jumped out to a 12-4 lead early on Dickerson’s three-pointer. They would maintain control of the game and take a nine-point lead into halftime.
The closest that the Penguins would get was within 57-52 early in the second half, before the Dons exploded to push the lead to double-digits, and they would never look back.
The win was the 100th victory for head coach Rex Walters, who has coached the Dons since 2008.
