Kings Battle Clippers on the Road: Game Preview

The Sacramento Kings prepare to play the second of for meetings against the Los Angeles Clippers tonight at the Staples Center. The Kings were embarrassed in their last meeting with the Clippers. Sacramento will have to have to work hard and play team defense. The Kings have given up 122 points and 127 points in the last two games, and have started to veer away from their early season plans to become a better defensive team.

The Kings will need to come ready to play from the opening tip of the game. They will need John Salmons to find a way to get his offense going against a talented, athletic Clippers team. The Kings as a team will need to look for each other on the offense, passing and rebounding the ball will be amongst several keys to tonight’s game. The Kings had a season high 25 assists against the Warriors, and will need to find a way to distribute the ball tonight against a tough Clippers team.

The Kings have to take care of the ball, and not allow the Clippers to get into the opne court from silly turnovers, and bad passes. The Kings cannot give up big numbers in transition against an all around talented Clippers offense.

Tyreke Evans is doubtful for tonight’s game as he continues to be bothered by his ailing knee. After being involved with a big fall early in Wednesday’s game against the Warriors, Francisco Garcia will also be unavailable tonight; leaving the Kings even more short-handed tonight against the Clippers.

The Kings need to play 48 minutes of solid all around basketball. If the Kings fall behind early, it will be hard to come back against such a talented offense of the Clippers.
