The University of San Francisco Dons’ losing streak reached three games with a 73-63 loss to the Holy Cross Crusaders at home.
Holy Cross was led by 31 points from Dave Dudzinski. Cole Dickerson has 17 points and 17 rebounds for the Dons.
17 of Dudzinski’s points came in the first half, which saw the Crusaders build some momentum in the final minutes to take a 43-36 lead into intermission.
The Dons would never come as close again, as Holy Cross maintained a comfortable lead throughout the second half and coasted to a double-digit victory.
“We can’t think that just because we are on our home court something magical is going to happen,”said head coach Rex Walters. “The magic happens when you are working on your game. You can blame it on youth but no one cares about that.”
USF’s next game will be in Honolulu at the Diamond Head Classic on Saturday.
