Golden State Warriors’ power forward David Lee was named the NBA’s Western Conference Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 10th to the 16th.
Lee averaged 22.8 points and 12.5 rebounds in four games during that span, as the Warriors won three of those games and went 6-1 on their seven game road trip. He registered at least 20 points and 10 rebounds in all four games.
Lee, who is generally regarded as one of the most underrated players in the league, is averaging 19.2 points and 11.5 rebounds this season. He was acquired from the Knicks by the Warriors before the 2010-2011 season in a trade.
The last Warrior to be named Western Conference Player of the Week was Monta Ellis back in March of 2012.
