Manningham Will Not Play Against Patriots

Yesterday, 49ers’ wide receiver Mario Manningham was listed as “doubtful” for Sunday night’s game against the New England Patriots in Foxboro. This morning, he was officially declared “out” and will not play tonight due to a right shoulder injury.

In 11 games, Manningham has 41 catches for 449 yards. His loss means the Niners will be without two of their starting wide receivers, as Kyle Williams is out for the season with a torn ACL.

A.J. Jenkins, who saw limited playing time last week at home against the Dolphins, is expected to see more action tonight. The rookie has yet to make a catch in the NFL.

CSN reports that Delanie Walker will also see more playing time, as the 49ers will go with two tight ends.

Stay tuned to Golden Gate Sports for all your Niners’ coverage today. We will be previewing, live blogging and recapping tonight’s big matchup up in New England.
