Manningham Doubtful for Sunday, Opportunity for Jenkins

The San Francisco 49ers may be without one of their top receivers on Sunday night in Foxboro.

Mario Manningham is listed as “doubtful” with an injured shoulder. He did not practice on Friday.

Manningham has 41 receptions for 449 yards in 11 games this season. His injury will likely mean rookie A.J. Jenkins gets a lot of playing time. The Niners’ first round pick has yet to record a catch in an NFL game. He saw his first playing time in limited action against the Dolphins last Sunday.

With the loss of Manningham, the 49ers will be without two of their starting wide receivers. Kyle Williams is out for the season with a torn ACL.
