The San Francisco Giants have signed reliever Chad Gaudin to a minor-leauge deal, according to AP’s Janie McCauley.
If the makes the team, Gaudin will make $750,000 with additional incentives.
The 10-year veteran has pitched for seven different teams, compiling a 40-42 record with a 4.63 ERA. Bay Area fans may remember him with the
A’s, where he won 11 games as a starter in 2007.
Since then, Gaudin has bounced around from coast-to-coast. After being traded to the Cubs in 2008, he has pitched for the Padres, Yankees , A’s (again), Nationals, and Marlins.
Last season, Gaudin was 4-2 with a 4.54 ERA with the Miami Marlins in 46 games out of the bullpen.
