Warriors Take On Stone Cold Wizards: Game Preview

This afternoon, the Warriors are looking to grab win number 13 on the season, and beat out one of the slowest, coldest teams in the NBA.

Sounds easy, right? Well, while the Warriors are establishing themselves as one of the teams to beat in the West, they still have apparent holes that aren’t going to go away just like that. And who knows? The Wizards did beat the Heat and the Blazers. Maybe they’ll beat the Warriors.

Last night, Stephen Curry, David Lee, and Klay Thompson all put on clinics from the offensive and defensive end. Without Andrew Bogut, David Lee has stepped into the rebounding role, and the guards are helping to rebound the basketball. Curry finished with 28, and Lee finished with 30 and 15 rebounds. The Warriors are motivated and having fun on the court.

With the depth that they have, they should keep rolling for a while, but they can’t let their ego get in the way. What I’ve realized about the Warriors is that in recent years they would lose to the bad teams and beat the good teams. They shouldn’t have trouble dealing with the Wizards, but they did lose to the Bobcats at the beginning of the season last year.

For once, the Warriors are out-manning another team. Most of the Wizards’ players are quite washed up, and their leading scorer is averaging 13 ppg..

Here are some of the Game Predictions:

Matchup to Watch: Klay Thompson vs Bradley Beal

Player to Watch: Jordan Crawford, Stephen Curry

Winner: Warriors by 13

Probably Lineups:

1. Stephen Curry vs AJ Price, Jordan Crawford

2. Klay Thompson vs Bradley Beal

3. Harrison Barnes vs Martell Webster

4. David Lee vs Chris Singleton, Kevin Seraphin

5. Festus Ezeli vs Emeka Okafor, Nene
