The Golden State Warriors will embark on a three game road trip tonight as they will face the Timberwolves, Thunder, and Mavericks – three tough Western Conference teams to play away from home.
They will face the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight at the Target Center. Minnesota has a 5-3 record but is coming off of a heartbreaking loss to the Charlotte Bobcats, of all teams. Keep in mind that they are without several key players, which include Kevin Love, Ricky Rubio, Brandon Roy, Chase Budinger, Nikola Pekovic and J.J. Barea.
The Warriors are coming off of a low-scoring win at home against Atlanta. Their main players such as Stephen Curry, David Lee, and Klay Thompson have struggled to start the year. Golden State is without center Andrew Bogut, who will not make the road trip due to his recurring ankle injury.
The biggest key for the Warriors in this game is to jump out to an early lead and utilize their depth. The Timberwolves are without their (arguably) six best players, which puts a huge load on their bench and role players. The Warriors must take advantage of this, and get out to a good start early on.
