The Oakland Raiders signed veteran linebacker Omar Gaither on Wednesday to take the place of linebacker Travis Goethel, who suffered a season-ending knee injury in Sunday’s game against the Ravens.
Drafted by the Eagles in the fifth round in 2006, Gaither has started 40 games in his career with Philadelphia and Carolina.
From the Washington Post:
Gaither has 393 career tackles, six sacks, 25 passes defensed, two interceptions, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries in his career. He has experience playing middle and outside linebacker.
