Good morning Bay Area sports fanatics,
It was undoubtedly a busy sports’ weekend in the Bay Area, with the NBA, NFL, and college basketball and football seasons in full swing. Fortunately, we had you covered the entire way, with recaps and analysis of every single game.
So if you’re looking to unwind with some sports news, here’s a brief snippet of our coverage this weekend:
- In college football, the Stanford Cardinal narrowly defeated Oregon State 27-23 as new quarterback Kevin Hogan led the way. For the Cal Bears, it was much of the same as they were routed by the Oregon Ducks at home.
- On to the NBA: it took two overtimes, but the Warriors somehow found a way to lose to the Denver Nuggets thanks to Klay Thompson’s pathetic efforts. The Kings, shorthanded due to the suspension of DeMarcus Cousins and Thomas Robinson, fell flat in Staples Center to the Lakers.
- In NFL action, the Niners and Rams ended up tying 24-24 in a thrilling contest that unfortunately had no winner. The Raiders continued their disappointing season as they were hammered in Baltimore.
- And last but certainly not least, the Cal Bears earned a victory in their first game of the college basketball season, defeating Bakersfield.
Wow, a busy weekend by the Bay. We look forward to another terrific week and have you covered with updates and analysis of all your favorite teams.
