World Series: Giants vs. Tigers Game 4 Preview and Lineups

The Giants have won six straight games and are going for a sweep against the Tigers, and they have their guy on the mound. Matt Cain will have a chance to win yet another clinching game, but this time, it’s for all the marbles. And by marbles, I mean winning the World Series and everything that the coveted accomplishment entails.

The only tweak that Bruce Bochy made from Saturday’s lineup was extracting Hector Sanchez, who went 0-for-4 in Game 3, for Ryan Theriot. Sanchez looked bewildered on Saturday, and with the strikeout happy Max Scherzer on the mound for the Tigers, you can see his reasoning to sit his rookie catcher. His replacement in Theriot doesn’t have much experience against Scherzer, but for what it is worth, he’s 1-for-2 lifetime against him.
