What's on Tap - 10/27: World Series Shifts to Mo-Town, Stanford and Cal, Plus MLS Action

Nothing screams “weekend” louder than a slate of four sports games to divulge on Saturday.

The most important of the four is obviously the World Series, as the Giants look to take a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Tigers in Detroit. Ryan Vogelsong will toe the rubber in almost freezing conditions in Mo-Town.

As for college football, the Cardinal and Bears are both in action. 17th-ranked Stanford will welcome in the Washington State Cougars, and the Bears will take on the Utah Utes in (you guessed it) Utah.

Finally, the Supporters’ Shield-winning San Jose Earthquakes look to end their regular season on a strong note as they travel to Portland to face the Timbers. They have already clinched the top seed in MLS, so they should play it easy and prepare for the playoffs.
