Earthquakes, Galaxy Finish with a 2-2 Draw

On this night, two superpowers in the MLS looked to go head to head. That they did. In a close back and forth grudge match, the Galaxy and the Quakes battled hard and long, but to no avail. The final score ended up as a tie 2-2, just the way it had started. What a game, though!

The best highlight of the game, for the Quakes fans, was Wondo’s magnificent goal, marking the 26th of the season. The Quakes and the Galaxy battled for possession, good looks at the goal, and striking power. For most aspects and stats of the game, both teams were equal. This game, however, was a nailbitter.

LA struck with the first goal at 59 minutes, then SJ struck with a goal, just 2 minutes later. LA scored another one 69 minutes into the game, and only 4 minutes later, Wondolowski pulled out a trick from his little bag and scored. The rest of the game was an interesting grudge match, but neither team was able score in those 17+ minutes.

Although the Galaxy are 14 points behind the Quakes, it’s always fun to watch the North Cal South Cal rivalry, as you know that you will always be getting a good game out of it.

On this night, although both sides must have been frustrated, there wasn’t too much contact, no fighting, and only one yellow card. It was a good, clean game, and it was fought hard by both teams.
