Tonight, the Sacramento Kings play the first of three preseason games at The Thomas And Mack Center in Las Vegas Nevada. The Kings won two of the three games against the Lakers last year (2011-12 season). The last time the Kings had won a season series was the 2004-05 season when they won three out of four games.
This is the first game of four in the next seven days, three of which are against the Lakers. They end the preseason in San Diego, CA at the Valley View Casino against the Lakers. The Lakers lead the all-time series against the Kings 191-89, and 83-33 in the Sacramento era. The Lakers are 17-8 all time at the Staples Center.
Tonight may be more of a night to experiment with line-ups and player rotations for both the Kings and the Lakers. The Lakers have added some potentially amazing pieces to their roster, including Steve Nash and Dwight Howard. Both teams however, are coming off of a loss, and the Lakers have yet to win a single preseason game. So, expect some some competitive play in the first half, whereas the probable starters listed by both teams are their potential regular season starters.
