Vogelsong Looks To Even Up Series Against Carpenter and The Cardinals

The Giants’ starting pitching has been a far cry away from what it was expected to be. Madison Bumgarner unravelded for six runs last night, and Ryan Vogelsong will look to become the first Giants’ pitcher to eclipse the six inning plateau tonight.

He will oppose Chris Carpenter, the seasonded veteren who has a stellar postseason resume. While Carpenter made just three starts during the regugarl season, he’s yet to show signs of ineffectiness coming off injury. He threw 5.2 shutout innings against the Nationals in the NLDS.
