It’s the epitome of a desperate, backs-against-the-wall situation. Down 0-2 in their respective playoff series, the A’s and Giants must win three straight games in order to avoid elimination.

However, they’ll have to take it one game at a time, and it all starts today. The Giants head to Cincinnati for Game 3 of the NLDS, where Ryan Vogelsong will make his first career playoff start in a pressure situation. Remember, it’s literally win or go home. for the G-men.

Same situation for the A’s, except they have the advantage of playing at home. After dropping the first two games in Detroit, Oakland must sweep the three games at the Coliseum in front of their own fans. Brett Anderson returns from injury to make this pivotal ALDS Game 3 start.
