Arroyo Stifling Giants, Trail 9-0


UPDATE: 7:40 Bronson Arroyo is has stifled the Giants through three innings, not allowing a baserunner. He struck out the side in the bottom of the third.

The Reds scored on Ryan Ludwicks’s solo home run in the second inning off Madison Bumgarner. They added three more during a three-run fourth inning to push the score to 4-0 off Bumgarner, as the bullpen now has some activity with Guillermo Mota warming up.

UPDATE: Arroyo is still dealing. The Giants have only managed to get one hit off him, and he’s working very efficiently  The one bright spot was Tim Lincecum pitching two scoreless innings out of the bullpen. The Reds have added two more in the eighth inning with Jay Bruce’s two-run double to make the score 6-0.

UPDATE: The Reds have scored two more runs in the eighth inning to make the score 8-0. Fans now leaving in bunches, and it’s silent as it’s been all year.

UPDATE: Drew Stubbs tripled in the Reds’ ninth run of the game, making the score 9-0. Fans now giving ushers hugs as they depart.
