After clinching a postseason birth last night, the A’s have some more work to do to win the division. In order to win the AL West, they must win their final two games against the Rangers.

Part one of their endeavor starts tonight at the O.Co Coliseum in front of a presumed large crowd.

Travis Blackley (5-4, 4.00 ERA) makes the start tonight for the A’s. He has been struggling as of late, allowing five runs in the first inning of his last start. That preceded a start against the Yankees where he allowed four runs in two innings. It is safe to say that the Australian southpaw will make the biggest start of his career tonight.

He will be opposed by Matt Harrison (18-10, 3.26 ERA), who has been absolutely phenomenal for the Rangers this season. He can set the record for most wins by a Rangers’ lefty tonight, as well as help his team clinch the AL West.
